AUTOMATION ENGINEER

As an automation engineer, you are responsible for improving our continuous integration system. This includes migrating existing services to the cloud, redesigning workflows for better scalability, and working across team boundaries to significantly expand the scope of our automation. This is a great opportunity for those who are passionate about improving workflow efficiency, who like meeting people across different domains and deeply understanding their problems, and who like to propose, design and implement their own initiatives.

 

TEAM

You’ll be part of the team responsible for automated systems that make it easier to push our games to the highest level of quality. This includes systems for correctness testing, performance profiling, analytics, and more. Our systems must be fast, effective and easily usable by employees with very diverse backgrounds. We are a small team with a mandate to empower all areas of development at NLG, so bring your passion and experience to our domain, and let’s make things better for everyone!

 

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Experience with deploying to cloud service providers (e.g. AWS)
  • Strong knowledge of Python
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized

 

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in game development
  • Experience with container creation and management (e.g. Docker)
  • Knowledge of software testing best practices
