DATA ENGINEER

As a data engineer, you are responsible for building a unified platform for data ingestion and organization across our tools and games. You work with representatives from different teams to build tools that collect the right data and empower them to answer their own questions. This is a great opportunity for those who are passionate about collecting interesting data and answering interesting questions, who like meeting people across different domains and deeply understanding their problems, and who like designing and implementing reliable systems.

 

TEAM

Data engineers, as part of the automation team, are responsible for automated systems that make it easier to push our games to the highest level of quality. This includes systems for analytics, performance profiling, correctness testing, and more.  Our systems must be fast, effective and easily usable by employees with very diverse backgrounds. We are a small team with a mandate to empower all areas of development at NLG, so bring your passion and experience to our domain, and let’s make things better for everyone!

 

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Python
  • Experience with database technologies
  • Experience with building data visualization tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized

 

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in game development
  • Experience in C++ and C#
  • Experience with cloud systems for data storage and analysis
  • Experience with machine learning
  • Experience with web technologies, Typescript, and API design
