HR GENERALIST

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team! The successful candidate will collaborate with NLG’s administrative, human resource, and leadership teams to support HR practices and objectives. Together, we aim to provide an employee-focused, supportive culture that values quality, commitment, productivity, and continuous learning.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the HR Department and Studio Directors with the development, documentation, and administration of HR policies, procedures, programs, and activities at NLG
  • Acting as the first point of contact for HR related queries, including responding to day-to-day questions from employees regarding benefits, payroll, time-off, and other policies & procedures
  • Coordinating recruitment activities, employee onboarding & orientation, and employee offboarding to facilitate the best employee experience possible
  • Preparing HR reports as requested by the HR Manager or Studio Directors
  • Maintaining knowledge of regulatory changes, best-practices, and trends in HR
  • Supporting the Senior HR Advisor with payroll and benefits administration as needed
  • Performing other duties and projects as assigned

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Degree and/or diploma in Human Resources Management from a recognized post-secondary institution

 

NICE TO HAVE

  • CPHR designation
  • Experience and/or interest in the video game industry

  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and good knowledge of HRIS
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Canadian and local employment-related laws, human rights legislations, and WorkSafeBC regulations

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Applications will only be considered from candidates who are eligible to work in Canada
  • Must be willing to physically be on location at our downtown Vancouver studio (this is not a remote position)
